Carolina to the Congo: a Beat Making Lab Experiement (video by Saleem Reshamwala for artvsm)
The Beat Making Lab is taking a bunch beat making of equipment to youth in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, just to see what happens.
Shot this interview with Pierce and Apple Juice, mixed it with some great footage from Jon Kasbe and some more great footage from CulturesOfResistance.Org.
I’ve actually lost count of what video this is in my 33 videos project, but I’ll check it out tonight.

NURSE: Ok. (Hands me headphones)
ME (doubtingly): That’s m-o-s d-e-f…
NURSE: Yeah, he got it. [Starts positioning me in MRI machine, Mos Def starts playing]
ME: Woah.
NURSE: Yeah, we got Pandora.
